Canine Artist Terry Chacon

Terry d. Chacon has always had art in her life. Her mother was a ceramicist so she grew up working in clay. As a sculptor of bronze and ceramic she later added oil painting. Showing, exhibiting and breeding top winning Afghan Hounds for the past 37 years she has used her beautiful dogs as models for creating oil paintings and bronze sculptures. Her artwork has won many awards locally, regionally and nationally and has been in international exhibits including Gallery 225 in New York City curated by Harv Toback. She continues to stretch her abilities by painting on location in plein air. As president and founding member of the Plein Air Artists of Riverside she paints at many California locations creating impressionistic style paintings. She loves capturing a moment in time and exhibiting her work in exhibits and galleries.
