These guys are Beans and Tuffy, my first two dachshunds, who taught me why this is such a wonderful breed. Both were at least 10 or 12 years old when I adopted them. Their owner had gone into a nursing home, and they were at a kennel. I was just in the process of moving, and the rescue folks begged me to take them. I had Tuffy one year, and Beanie two years. They were always in this position, curled up together, usually on my lap, under a blanket.
