The Artist's Best Friend the first in a series of virtual Art Shows by the members of the Canine Art Guild
It's magic. It happens when the cosmos collide and and the stars line up exactly right, you feel your heart bursting with emotion and you realize, you've got a best friend! You aren't sure who chose who, you only know your life will never be the same as it was before you met this four legged, canine creature with soft ears, and eyes that search your very soul. Your lives are entangled and meshed in a way called "family" and you know you're responsible for each other's welfare in a unique relationship.
The two of you develop your own language, your own telepathic sense of humor, your own style of living together in harmony and doggie exuberance.
The Artist's Best Friend is the first show of the recently formed, Canine Art Guild. In this show, members of the group are free to express through their paintings and stories, the love they've had for certain special dogs in their lives. We've used color and lines, shapes and forms to pay tribute to those dogs we've loved and cherished. These paintings describe the magic of having a "best friend" and we hope you enjoy the show.
And the next time you think about having a portrait done of your beloved canine, keep your mind open to the endless possibilities that an artist can offer you.
