The Artist's Best Friend

Greco, one of my first dogs, was the firstborn offspring of my dog Sephorah, an Alaskan Malamute who was killed by a car. Greco went everywhere with me and was my only companion on my frequent trail rides. When she was a puppy, I carried her in front of my saddle so she would get used to my horse and then trained her to heal next to my horse when we were on the road heading to the local trails. I had to leave her with my parents when I moved out on my own many years ago. She then became my Father's dearest friend, (next to my mother) following him on his walks through his wooded property in Southwest Indiana. She was 15 when she passed.
