This pug belonged to a friend. I photographed "Suki" on a visit as she sat in the sun, warming her old joints. At that time I knew she didn't have much longer on this earth, she was deaf, nearly blind, and very arthritic. This is one piece that just flowed off my hands, it was truly guided by God and a work of love.

Sundowner refers to that time of the day when the elderly get confused but also to that time of life when the best thing can be just warming your bones in the sunlight. Not for sale. In the collection of the AKC Museum in St Louis, MO
