The Artist's Best Friend

When I go back to Kentucky to visit and stay with my friends at Rock Ridge Farm, I am bowled over by the joyous energy of their dalmation Patch. He is a wonderful solid boy, intriguing with that paint spatter of spots going down his left side. I wanted to paint him, and it didn't take too much to get a colorful rendition in an essentially black and white photo of him running through the snow beside the tractor.
