The Artist's Best Friend

I did this painting of my cousin's Corgi, Corki. Corki loved to ride the four wheeler! Her legs were so short, we had to lift her into the rack at the back, but once she was there, she was an expert rider. She was on the four wheeler behind my cousin one day when Robert and I were riding another four wheeler beside them. I told Robert to hang on, as I was driving. When we got near the creek, I speeded up as fast as I could go and shot a cascade of water over my cousin and Corki. Corki was so angry with me! She glared at me for days afterward and wouldn't have anything to do with me.

She didn't mind getting wet herself, but she didn't like it when my cousin yelled in protest. She was such a loyal friend to my cousin and when she passed away this fall, we mourned her loss also.
