The Artist's Best Friend

Growing up, Beau was my best friend. He listened through all my teenage angst, never failing to wipe my tears (albeit with his tongue). He was patient and willing, and an excellent jogging companion. We covered many miles together, and although he’s been gone for many years, it still feels as though he’s occasionally trotting alongside me, or gently nuzzling for an ear rub.
