The Next Step will ask you for your Website's Address (URL),
as well as the page that you will be putting the Gateway code on.

Click Confirm to continue...

Once you have signed up, your site's information will be e-mailed to your webmaster for installation. All that's left to do is insert the code and graphic onto your page. It is this code and graphics that will allow all of the Canine Art sites to be linked together.

Once your code is in place and the graphic image is uploaded to your server, email the Gatekeeper a quick note to let her know as there are TONS of sites added to the queue on a regular basis, and many wait a long time before adding the code, and she doesn't have time to surf through every site daily to see if they've added the code yet. Only sites with the complete code installed will be added. Please do not ask us to install it for you. If you do not know how, hire your web designer to do it for you.

Once the gatekeeper knows your site is ready, she will then be able to add it to the ring and your site will become an active site in the Canine Art Web Ring. (Please include your site ID for reference in your request.)

The Code & Image You Need

You will need to place a particular HTML code in your document in order to be recognized by the Canine Art Web Ring program. You will also need to download the image below from this page to place on your own page. (Please, do NOT link the graphic from this page.)

Click to Save Link/Target As

The code has also been e-mailed to you with your site ID already inserted ready to use, but some users may not receive it as raw HTML coding (AOL particularily). You may login to the Gateway and have it generate the raw HTML for you as plain text, which you can then use the COPY and PASTE method of inserting it into your webpage. To do this, Enter here.

To place the code into your page, open the source code in your HTML editor of choice. Find where it allows you to insert custom HTML, and paste the Gateway code into that. Save the page and preview it. If you've done it right, and have the logo above saved and uploaded to your webpage's directory, you should see it like this:
